The Wollaston Consort, (Julie Harmer, flute, and Peter Clayton, harpsichord) was founded in 2008 and performs flute and harpsichord music from the Baroque and early Classical periods.

Its repertoire includes music from England, France, Italy and Germany by well-known composers including J.S. Bach, Handel and Vivaldi, and equally fine music by less well known composers such as Blavet, Leclair, Loeillet, Quantz and other members of the Bach family. Its name was inspired by a painting in Christchurch Mansion in Ipswich depicting Colonel William Wollaston (1731-1797) who was a (flute playing) MP for Ipswich between 1768 and 1784.
