The Harwich Festival has been commissioned by Tendring District Council to organise the lantern parade for the Illuminate Festival.
We will be once again working with professional lantern makers Willow Phoenix to create 8 large colourful lanterns. The theme for this year’s Illuminate Festival will be sea creatures. We’ll be organising several workshops for people to come along and help make the lanterns. Download your own lantern at the bottom of the page!
The workshops will run on the following days at the Harwich Arts and Heritage Centre:
Saturday 19th February between 10am and 3pm
Monday 21st February between 10am and 12pm
Saturday 5th March between 10am and 3pm
Monday 14th March between 10am and 12pm
Saturday 19th March between 10am and 3pm
