Folk at the Festival

We love our Folk Music at the Harwich Festival, that’s why we’re bring you the best of the best for this years festival. Here’s what we’ve got coming to a venue near you.

Intarsia: Thurs 23rd June @ The Harwich Arts & Heritage Centre. 7.30pm

Intarsia is an emerging duo of performers from diverse backgrounds. Jo May and Sarah Matthews have worked together since 2018, combining voice, violin, viola, octave fiddle, tenor guitar, balafon and a whole range of other percussion instruments. The sounds of these wooden instruments blend to create intricate delivery of original and traditional material inspired by English songs, European dance tunes, West African rhythms and more.


Reg Meuross: Sat 2nd July @ The Harwich Arts & Heritage Centre. 7.30pm

Folk Royalty & Master Storyteller Reg Meuross joins us for an unmissable night of folk music & fun. One not to miss.


Vicki Swan & Jonny Dyer: Fri 1st July @ St Nicholas Church. 1pm

Folk at Lunchtime? We don’t mind if we do.

Vicki and Jonny are two of the most versatile musicians of the folk circuit today, a on stage – and now online, the duo are recognised for the  high quality of their polished concerts; not only by their charismatic singing and playing but also by their involving, winning presence and easy rapport, their polished delivery that genuinely respects their listeners, and their lively, informed backstories.
