Harwich Festival 2025 – 20×20 PLUS Exhibition

Dates: Thursday 19th June – Sunday 29th June

Venue: The Old Chapel, 30 Kings Head St, Harwich

Call for Artists

Open to all! Whether you’re a professional, amateur, or under 18, you’re invited to exhibit your work in this year’s exciting 20×20 PLUS art exhibition.

There is no selection process. If your work meets the guidelines, it will be shown.

Submission Categories

Category A: 20 x 20cm unframed – £1.00 per entry

Category B: 20 x 20cm framed – £1.50 per entry

Category C: Up to 30cm (any dimension) framed/unframed – £2.00 per entry (Only first 20 entries accepted)

Under 18s: Free entry – no commission on sales

Medium: Any (painting, photography, textiles, ceramics, etc.)

Hanging:

Categories A & B: Use card lugs or mirror plates Category C: Must be tightly strung for picture rails All work should be made on or fixed to a rigid support Label the back with your name, contact info, and price (if for sale)

Category A and B work will be stapled or screwed to boards so if your work does not have lugs or mirror plates they will probably not be shown. Category C works, either framed or unframed, should be tightly strung because they will be hung from a conventional picture rail.

Drop-off Dates & Location

Where: Harwich Arts & Heritage Centre, Dovercourt, CO12 4AH

When: Mon 2 – Fri 6 June: 11am–3pm & Sat 7 June: 11am–1pm

Hanging Dates

Mon 16 – Wed 18 June

Commission

10% of sales go to the Festival fund. No commission on under-18s’ work.

Collection

Pick up from the venue on Monday 30th June, or later at the Centre (weekdays until end of July).
